Uma Experiência no México / A Mexico Experience
Vou compartilhar com vocês uma experiência muito bacana que só tive tempo em compartilhar com vocês, agora nesse momento que estamos em Pós Pandemia do Coronavírus, mas que acredito que vale a pena postar agora. Em 2018 fui convidada pelo Hilton Hotels para conhecer um novo conceito de hotel que estavam lançando no México. Aproveitando minha ida à um evento para profissionais do setor de Hospitalidade, embarquei nessa viagem rumo ao país da Tequila.
Fiquei hospedada em uma elegante, confortável e espaçosa Suíte Standard do Hilton Mexico City Reforma (Av. Juarez, 70, Cidade do Mexico), que apresenta uma bela vista para a cidade (em especial a Torre Latinoamericana), decoração neutra, sofisticada e elegante. Pra mim, que foi à cidade para negócios e tentar fazer um pouco de turismo, ter uma mesa ampla e cadeira ergonômica para trabalhar na minha estadia, foi perfeito!
I am going to share with you a wonderful experience that I just had time to share it with you, right now that we are during this Post Pandemic of COVID -19, but it really worth to post it this moment. In 2018, I was invited by Hilton Hotels to meet a new hotel concept they were launching in Mexico. Taking advantage of a trip to an event for professionals of the Hospitality sector, I departured on this trip towards to the country of Tequila.
I stayed in an elegant, comfortable and spacious Standard Suite at the Hilton Mexico City Reforma (Av. Juarez, 70, Mexico City), which has a beautiful view of the city (especially the Torre Latinoamericana), with a neutral, sophisticated and elegant decor. For me, who went to the city for business and trying to do a little tourism, having a large table and ergonomic chair to work on my stay, it was perfect!
Todos os quartos e suítes do hotel possuem TV à cabo, conexão Wi-Fi e banheiras de hidromassagem / All hotel rooms and suites have cable TV, Wi-Fi connection and hot tubs.

Apesar da correria, ainda tive um tempinho para conhecer um pouco do centro Histórico da Cidade do México que estava fazendo uns 15° graus e muito frio pra mim.
Despite the rush, I still had a little time to get to know a little bit of the historic center of Mexico City, which was about 59°F degrees that’s very cold for me.

Depois, eu tive a incrível oportunidade de visitar o sítio arqueológico de Teotihuacan, que fica 30 minutos de carro do centro da cidade. Sou apaixonada por História e fiquei muito feliz em realizar um desejo da minha Lista de Desejos, em conhecer de perto uma das ruínas das grandes civilizações do passado em nosso continente Americano.
After, I had the incredible opportunity to visit the Teotihuacan archaeological site, which is around 30 minutes driving from the city center. I am passionate about the History and I was very happy to make a dream come true from my Bucket List, to visit one of the ruins of the great civilizations of the past in the America continent.
O guia falava Português e Inglês e iniciou o passeio com uma breve explicação sobre a civilização Inca, que habitavam o local e ali construíram as pirâmides que atualmente são patrimônio histórico tombado pela UNESCO. Ele apresentou as pirâmides que visitaríamos e os respectivos graus de dificuldades que enfrentaríamos com a escalada.
The tour guide spoke Portuguese and English e he started the tour with a brief explanation of the Inca civilization, which inhabited that place and built the pyramids that are now a UNESCO World Heritage site. He presented the pyramids that we would visit and the respective degrees of difficulties that we would face with the climb.
Estava aproximadamente uns 30 graus naquele local. Subi na Pirâmide da Lua. Foi uma escalada difícil, pois os degraus das escadas eram altos e largos.
Eu tenho vertigem na altura, mas consegui chegar no topo desta pirâmide. Fiquei orgulhosa de mim. Eu achava que não ia conseguir completar. E ganhei uma linda visão deste lugar tão único do planeta!
It was about 80°F /30ºC degrees in that place. I climbed the Moon Pyramid. It was a difficult climb, as the stairs were high and wide.
I have vertigo at the time, but I managed to get to the top of this pyramid. I was proud of myself. I didn’t think I would be able to complete it. And I got a beautiful view of this very unique place on the planet!
Entre uma pirâmide e outra, a caminhada era distante e bem cansativa. E se passa por muitas pedras. A última era a Pirâmide do Sol. Era duas vezes maior que a Pirâmide da Lua. Eu achei que talvez fosse conseguir, mas ao chegar perto dela percebi que a dificuldade era bem maior para subir, pois seriam usadas cordas tanto para subida e descida. Apesar de muita vontade de subir, desisti da aventura, pois era muito desafiante pra mim.
Between one pyramid and another, the walk was distant and very tiring. And it passes through lots of stones. The last pyramid was the Sun’s. It was twice as big as the Moon Pyramid. I thought that maybe I could make it, but when I got close to it I realized that the difficulty was much greater to climb, since ropes would be used both for going up and down. Despite a lot of desire to climb, I gave up on the adventure, because it was very challenging for me.

Após essa aventura, almocei no restaurante La Gruta, localizado dentro do sítio arqueológico e que existe desde 1906 oferecendo comida 100% típica Mexicana dentro de uma caverna.
After this adventure, I had lunch at the La Gruta restaurant, located inside the archaeological site and which has existed since 1906 offering 100% typical Mexican food inside a cave.

Depois dessa inesquecível jornada em Teotihuacan (e me sentindo como Indiana Jones), retornei ao hotel e conclui minha agenda de trabalho. Depois da minha missão cumprida, parti para Cancún, para conhecer o mais novo lançamento do Hilton Hotels, em Playa Del Carmen.
Após 1 hora de viagem de carro, saindo do Aeroporto de Cancún, cheguei à noite em uma cidadezinha muito charmosa, movimentada, com ruas bem iluminadas e com o comércio funcionando em pleno vapor.
E finalmente cheguei no tão esperado, lindo e novíssimo hotel boutique:
After this unforgettable journey at Teotihuacan site (and feeling like Indiana Jones), I returned to the hotel and completed my work schedule. After my mission accomplished, I flew to Cancún, to see the newest launch of Hilton Hotels, in Playa Del Carmen.
After a 1-hour drive, leaving Cancún Airport, I arrived at night in a very charming, busy town, with well-lit streets and commerce running im a full swing.
And finally I got at the long-awaited, beautiful and brand new boutique hotel:
“The Fives Downtown Hotel & Residences – Curio Collection by Hilton”
(Av. 10 Norte con Calle 2 Norte- Playa del Carmen).
Após o Check-in, fiquei hospedada em uma m-a-r-a-v-i-l-h-o-s-a suíte, à prova de som, com cama king size, lindamente decorada, com cozinha totalmente equipada, TVs Smart 50” e 40″ em salas separadas. mesa de jantar para até 4 pessoas.
After Check-in, I stayed in a w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l suite, soundproofed, with a king size bed, beautifully decorated, with a fully equipped kitchen, Smart 50 ” and 40 ” TVs in separate rooms. Dining table for up to 4 people.
Fiquei apaixonada pelo banheiro e, desde então, meu conceito de chuveiros mudou muito depois dessa hospedagem.
I fell in love with the rain shower and, since then, my concept of showers has changed a lot since that hotel stay.
Esse chuveiro é simplesmente incrível!!!

Após este banho relaxante fui conhecer e jantar no restaurante italiano Mercatto, localizado dentro do hotel:
After this relaxing bath I went to meet and have dinner at the Italian restaurant Mercatto, located inside the hotel:
E o chef apresentou um menu preparado que mesclou a receita típica italiana com ingredientes localizados no México. Eu preciso confessar que o jantar estava divino!!!
And the chef presented a prepared menu that mixed the typical Italian recipe with ingredients located in Mexico. I must confess that dinner was divine!!!

Para quem ama Turismo de Aventura (Tirolesa, Saltos de Montanhas, Corridas de Bug, Mergulho em Lagoas ), Playa Del Carmen é um verdadeiro prato cheio, pois tem muitas agências que oferecem esse tipo de entretenimento pois o local é cercado pela natureza, com lagos, florestas e cenotes (pequenas cavernas com lagos).
Confesso que Turismo de Aventura não é o meu forte, principalmente depois de dias tão agitados que tive. Portanto, eu decidi em tirar o dia para um passeio mais calmo, conhecer as redondezas e curtir o ambiente que os hermanos e hermanas mexicanas, tem pra oferecer. Na hora do almoço, voltei ao Restaurante Mercatto, para provar o menu do dia:
For those who love Adventure Tourism (Zipline, Mountain Jumping, Bug Races, Diving in Lagoons), Playa Del Carmen is a real field day as it has many agencies that offer this type of entertainment because the place is surrounded by nature, with lakes, forests and cenotes (small caves with lakes).
I confess that Adventure Tourism is not something that I love, especially after busy days that I had. So, I decided to take the day for a very calm walk, to know the surroundings and enjoy the atmosphere that Mexican hermanos and hermanas have to offer. At lunch time, I went back to the Mercatto Restaurant, to try the menu of the day:
Eu nunca comi tanto Ceviche em minha vida como comi no México. Além de Ceviches, comi também polvo, algo que jamais comeria no meu país, o Brasil. E a apresentação dos pratos era algo de se despertar o apetite!
I have never eaten as much Ceviche in my life as I have eaten in Mexico. In addition to Ceviches, I also ate octopus, something I would never eat in my country, Brazil. And the presentation of the dishes was something to whet your appetite!
Água Hethe e sua mensagem: “O rio passa, passa, nunca cessa. O vento passa. passa, nunca cessa. A vida passa, passa, nunca regressa”/ Hethe Water and its message: “The river passes, passes, never ceases. The wind passes. passes, never ceases. Life passes, passes, never returns”

Depois desse maravihoso almoço, fui visitar um espaço que amo em qualquer lugar do mundo: o Aquário da Cidade!
After that wonderful lunch, I went to visit a space that I love anywhere in the world: the City Aquarium!
O aquário é pequeno, mas vale muito a pena visitar para conhecer as espécies locais! / The aquarium is small, but it really worth visiting to know the local species!

Passei em frente da boate INTI BEACH que estava preparando uma baladinha Brasileira, mas eu fui para a 5° Avenida pois lá é o centro comercial de céu aberto para se comprar souvernirs. E o resto da tarde eu passei nessa linda piscina de borda infinita que fica na cobertura do hotel, e que prestigia a vista da praia.
I passed in front of an INTI BEACH nightclub that was preparing a Brazilian night party, but I went to 5th Avenue because there is a nice air opened shopping center to buy souverirs. And the rest of the afternoon I spent in this beautiful infinity pool that is on the roof of the hotel, that offers a beautiful overview of the beach..

À noitinha, fui visitar a balada mais contagiante de Playa Del Carmem: A casa noturna Coco Bongo.
In the evening, I went to visit the most contagious club in Playa Del Carmen: The Coco Bongo nightclub.
O nome da casa noturna faz referência ao personagem O Máskara, do filme com o mesmo nome. Lá você encontra shows de música e dança, com apresentações teatrais usando muita interação de vídeo e sósias de celebridades da indústria da música e do cinema. Pra mim foi uma perfeita aula de entretenimento que espero um dia poder reproduzir nas produções de eventos.
The name of the nightclub refers to the character The Mask, from the film with the same name. There you will find music and dance shows, with theatrical performances using a lot of video interaction and look-alikes from celebrities in the music and film industry. For me, it was a perfect entertainent class that I wish to reproduce in my future event productions.
A balada toca muitas músicas boas dos anos 70, 80, 90 e atuais. O único problema é a superlotação.
Existem camarotes privativos e acredito que lá seja mais divertido aproveitar o que a boate tem de legal à oferecer, sem ter que tomar banho da cerveja alheia, gente pisando no pé do outro e coisas como essa.
Tirando a superlotação, a casa noturna é com certeza um lugar muito legal para se conhecer desde quefique e camarote privativo!
Bem pessoal, essa foi a minha incrível experiência no México. Espero voltar mais vezes, e de preferência apenas para lazer, e conhecer o que mais esse país tem de legal para oferecer aos seus turistas.
Não importa o lugar de destino que você planeja viajar. Para se ter uma experiência completa, não basta só montar orçamento e buscar as atrações que o local pode oferecer. É preciso pesquisa e planejamento antecipado, encontrar a hospedagem perfeita, que fique estrategicamente localizado próximo às atrações que você pretende usufruir, adquirir produtos e serviços essenciais ao período da sua viagem para que você tenha a melhor experiência possível e voltar pra casa revigorado e apenas com boas recordações!

The club plays many good songs from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and current days. The only problem is the overcrowding.
There are private cabins and I’m sure there is more fun there to enjoy what the club has the best to offer, without having to bathe someone else’s beer, people stepping on each other’s feet and things like that.
Apart from overcrowding, the nightclub is certainly a very cool place to visit as long as you stay and have a private cabin!
Well folks, that was my incredible experience in Mexico. I hope to come back more often and get to know what else this country has to offer for its tourists.
It doesn’t matter where is the destination you plan to travel. To have a complete and wonderful experience, it is not enough just to set a budget and look for the attractions the place has to offer. It takes research and planning in advance, finding the perfect accommodation that is strategically located close to the attractions you intend to enjoy, purchasing essential products and services for the period of your trip, so that you have the best experience and will returning home refreshed and only with good memories!
